1. RAM (Memory) & SSD
Compare the original RAM & SSD with the specification on the MSI website.

2. CPU & GPU
Only the notebook with Desktop CPU (e.g. GT76 Titan DT series) supports CPU upgrade.
Other models have the soldered CPU & GPU on the motherboard, therefore they don't support upgrade CPU & GPU.

Firstly, check the battery capacity before connecting the AC power adapter and check if your notebook has the Battery Master function in MSI Dragon Center, MSI Creator Center or MSI Center for Business & Productivity.
The following mechanisms are used to avoid the loss of battery life span from constantly charged and uncharged, it's normal battery-charging behavior:
1. It's normal that the system won't start charging the battery if the battery capacity is higher than 90%.
2. For notebooks that support the Battery Master in MSI Centers (MSI Center, MSI Center Pro, Dragon Center or MSI Creator Center), users can adjust battery charging settings.
If you still have problem with the battery charging, please check the Battery Master setting and then run the Battery Calibration tool (2-3 times) to re-initialize the battery settings.

If you have the fan noise issue, follow the steps below to set the fan speed to lowest and check if the fan noise remains.
(A) If the notebook supports MSI Center.
Go to "Features" > "User Scenario" tab and select "Extreme performance", set "Advanced" in Fan Speed.
(B) If the notebook supports MSI Center Pro.
Go to "Optimization" > "User Scenario" tab and select "High performance", set "Advanced" in Fan Speed.
(C) If the notebook supports MSI Dragon Center.
Go to "Home" > "User Scenario" tab and select "User", set "Advanced" in Fan Speed.
(D) If the notebook supports MSI Creator Center.
Go to "Optimization" > "User Scenario" tab and select "High Performance", set "Advanced" in Fan Speed.
If the noise only exists when the fan is spinning, we suggest you contact the local service center for further help or select the Category of the Web ticket as "Repair & Warranty" to report your problem.

If the fan 2 is showing 0 RPM, please check if the system is using the discrete GPU (dGPU).
The fan 2 only works when the dGPU is activated and the temperature rises to a specific point.
You can check if the system is using dGPU by the power button LED color.

1. Keyboard no response, auto typing problem
Please go to the BIOS setup menu, and check if the problem also appears when using the BIOS password function.
If the problem exists in the BIOS, please contact the local service center for further help, or select the Category of the Web ticket as "Repair & Warranty" to report your problem.

2. Keyboard backlight problem

(A) Check the specification of your notebook to confirm if it supports keyboard backlight.
- Keyboard with multi-color backlight.

(B) Remove the software of the external keyboard or mouse (optional)
(C) Update the latest EC firmware, SteelSeries software on the MSI website.
